専門分野は古脊椎動物、特に鳥脚類恐竜の進化や頭骨の形態変化について研究を行っています。古脊椎動物化石の記載から系統解析の他、形態が持つ力学的意義を明らかにするため構造解析の手法である有限要素法を用いて研究しています。今後は北九州地域で産出する陸上古脊椎動物化石の研究を進めていきたいと思っています。
