THE HISTORY OF THE EARTH AND LIFE[The Mesozoic Era] Exhibits
This part, the Mesozoic Era, is the main stage in the hall of “History of the Earth and Life.” The Mesozoic Era ranges from 200 million to 65 million years ago and is known as “the age of Dinosaurs”. There are famous Tyrannosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops with Seismosaurus, which has the length of 35 meters, as one of the largest dinosaurs ever mounted. Above your head, pteranodonts with a plesiosaurid are exhibited.

Stenosaurus is marine crocodile in the Mesozoic Era. This specimen is a real fossil discovered in Germany.
Allosaurus is a famous Jurassic carnivorous dinosaur. Many fossil bones of Allosaurus have been discovered from Utah, United States.
The skeleton of Seismosaurus is one of the largest mounted dinosaurs in the world. It has a length of 35 meters.
There are many theories about the function of plates on the back of Stegosaurus, such as radiator, pop-up, and defense.

This skeleton is a replica of the largest male Tyrannosaurus, called STAN.
Quetzalcoatlus is the largest pterosaul found from the Late cretaceous of USA. The wingspan is about 10m.
Triceratops is characterized by its three horns on its face. The life of Triceratops was somewhat similar to that of rhino.
Thalassomedon is a member of plesiosaur, one of the large marine reptiles in the Mesozoic. They are distinguished from dinosaurs by their formation of head bones.
